SABERTOOTH BASE

In 1972, Aurora added a second base piece to their Sabertooth Tiger kit originally released the previous year. As well as changing the box size, this new piece was designed to fit perfectly onto the side of the first base. This resin repro measures approximately 4x6" and is available unpainted.

ARMOURED DINO BASE

When Aurora first produced this kit, they included a two-part base that joined it to the other kits of the line and particularly to the Allosaurus base with its volcano theme. Sadly, when this kit was re-released by other companies, they omitted half of the original base.

This resin reproduction measures 5x5" and is available unpainted.

SAILBACK BASE

So, when you got your Mongram Sailback and put him on top of his little cliff you thought you had all the "bases" covered. Not so, because you got less than half of what was in the original kit. You're missing a rocky beach and partial swamp right on the downside of the hill. Betcha never knew the lizard had waterfront property!! BOREALIS brings the pieces back together in a 6x6" base available unpainted only.

1972 WOOLY MAMMOTH BASE

Just like the original Aurora base, this HUGE three-piece resin base gives your Mammoth the small cliff he was always meant to climb. Includes the small tree. None of this EVER came with the Monogram repros. This is our BIGGEST BASE yet and is available unpainted only.

1972 2-PART ALLOSAURUS BASE

1972 saw not only a new Sabertooth base, but also a new playground for Aurora's Allosaurus. A high relief two-part base featuring an erupting volcano and deep impact footprints was provided in the now rare 1972 boxes. The Allosaur base tucked in nicely next to the Triceratops and complemented the Armoured Dinosaur that was meant to sit in front of it. Once again, when this kit was reproduced in styrene, the original base was the first thing to go. BOREALIS is proud to release this huge resin reproduction that measures 6 x 12 inches and is available unpainted.
